 TOUR DESCRIPTION:
It is a wonderful tour through the field surrounding Bogota, where you can visit the Zipaquira Salt Cathedral and also the beautiful Laguna of Guatavita. Guatavita’s lake was a ceremonial center for Native Muiscas. The legend of El Dorado, has its origin in the rite by which the Zipa (Chief Muiscas) plunged to its body covered in gold dust and resins of trees in this lake while offerings of beautiful pieces in gold and other precious stones the God of the lagoon. Return to Bogota at the end of the afternoon.
